Shawn brings a rare combination of creative vision, senior executive leadership experience, financial expertise, analytics aptitude, and award-winning marketing skills to the ORA team.

He’s led global brands, private investors, and high-profile startups in multiple business sectors across the full spectrum of Realty activities from concept and financial evaluation to finish-out and back-end sales and marketing.

Proficient in the nation’s top data, analytics, and social media channels; Shawn is a recognized thought leader in crafting unrealized business trends and insights from large data sets across multiple platforms into predictive models and marketing strategies that consistently maximize market share, revenue growth, and investment yield for his Realty clients and investors.

Sample clients led and served include Goldman Sachs, Coca-Cola, Ralph Lauren, Johns Hopkins and a wide range of private businesses and start-ups.
He has won numerous awards in the arenas of entrepreneurship, marketing, and illustration and serves as a valued thought leader for a range of globally recognized think tanks across multiple industries.

In 2017 he received Oklahoma’s first, and exclusive, regional representation for MD Preferred, the nation’s leading Healthcare real estate and relocation platform reserved for Physician Realty relocation, investment, and Senior Living.

In addition, his national Realty partnerships and their associated marketing platforms have been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and over 300 additional leading publications nationwide.

Shawn holds a dual Masters from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor’s Health System – perennially ranked as the nation’s top ranked Healthcare management program – and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas specializing in Strategic planning and Venture Capital.

Don Gabriel, CCIM

Don brings over 40 years of institutional grade corporate and brokerage executive leadership to the ORA team. Formerly a senior executive at IBM and CBRE, Don Presided over the preparation and implementation of accelerated sales/marketing programs for private and public sector assets on an individual and portfolio basis. For over a decade he personally supervised brokerage activities and execution of auction and sealed bid events to include budgeting, advertising, telemarketing and distribution of property information packages representing dollar volume sales exceeding $590 Million both in the public and private sectors. His sales and training platforms were implemented across CBRE nationally and remain a core part of their training curriculum today. He brings extensive national prowess and depth of resources in the single-tenant investment space – transacting and working with global, brand leading retailers, institutional portfolios, high-net worth investors, and developers across the united States.

He is a graduate of the UCLA school of business in Los Angeles, California.

Carlo J. Caparruva

Carlo brings 27+ years of commercial Realty experience and nearly $3.0B in transactions volume across all Real Estate disciplines Nationwide to the ORA leadership team. His client base spans from National REITs and Private Equity funds to Fortune 50 corporations and and Single Family offices.

He is experienced in all facets of Commercial Real Estate with specialized expertise in Acquisitions, Development, Leasing, Asset Management and Equity Placement. His current and past client base includes, RREEF, Albertsons Supermarkets, InvestCorp, Avalon, ING, Hampshire Companies and a host of others.

While his Marketing and Real Estate roots were developed at Marriott Corporation, his career has taken him to corporate real estate brokers (Fameco Real Estate now CBRE/Fameco) as well as top-tier national and private developers and brokers.

Carlo has most recently directed acquisitions for a number of retail developers in the New York Tri-State area; as well as the leasing of a 6,000,000+ SF portfolio of owned and managed institutional assets spanning from Massachusetts to Florida. In addition, Carlo is spearheading a range of development and investment concerns that target emerging Metro MSA’s throughout the United States.

His current portfolio includes Retail, Industrial, Medical and Mixed Use properties encompassing over 30,000,000 sf of GLA nationwide.

Carlo is a graduate of Upsala College, East Orange, New Jersey. He is a Certified Lobby Professional from the AGRP and the New York Tri-State Regional Director for KW Commercial.

Corey Walz

Managing Director
Private Equity & Syndication

Corey spearheads equity placement and syndication activities for Oklahoma Realty Advisors. He brings intimate investment and equity placement experience within the retail and healthcare sectors to the ORA team.

Prior to joining ORA, Mr. Walz served as the Director of Acquisitions at Alliance Consolidated Group leading the acquisitions team in sourcing, due diligence, acquisition, and placement of private equity capital into high grade triple-net investments across the United States.

During his tenure the group placed $50,000,000 across 18 assets, consistently generating investment yield at 5% above benchmark investment alternatives.

Featured tenants represented by Corey include United Healthcare, Fresenius Dialysis, US Renal Care, DaVita Dialysis and a multitude of medical specialists/private investors.

Mr. Walz received degrees in both International Business and Marketing with a minor in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, Mr. Walz holds a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate Finance from Cornell University. He currently serves as a trustee on the Board for Beta Theta Pi’s Chicagoland Alumni, Finance Chairperson on the University of Oklahoma Alumni Club of Chicago, Finance Advisor to the Beta Theta Pi Colony at Loyola Chicago, and Associate Board Member of Gateway for Cancer Research.

Tripp Cunningham

Tripp brings over 25 years of Multi-Unit housing and apartment development and investment experience to the ORA team and investor base.

With deep roots in financing and banking as a mortgage banker for Barclays Bank of London and Metmor /Met-Life Financial; Tripp brings our investors two decades of specialized, intimate familiarity with the complex financing and modeling platforms that serve as the underpinning for all Multi-Unit/Apartment projects.

His specialized knowledge of the Multi-Unit finance landscape, paired with an intimate understanding of multi unit-housing investment assessment, development, and management provides our 1031 clients and Multi-Unit investors an invaluable resource and steady hand at the helm throughout the deal cycle and transaction process.

Tripp received his B.A. in Real Estate Finance from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors, holds an Arkansas brokers license, and is a CCIM candidate.

Lavisse Smith

Lavisse brings over 30 years of business development and advisory services experience for globally recognized sports personalities and celebrities to the Oklahoma Realty Advisors team. He serves as an invaluable liaison for our celebrity and athletic clientele seeking Realty investment advisory and portfolio management focused on safe, tangible, and of the highest stability, security, and “Blue Chip” quality available.

As the former leader of Converse’s Midwest promotional and in-store marketing division – Lavisse worked directly with the nation’s most recognized professional athletes and college coaches to expand regional brand share and recognition for Converse and it’s associated endorsees.

He subsequently led Jostens Championship Division nationally – establishing marketing programs for the American Football Coaches Association, American Hockey Coaches Association, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and the Mid-America and Big 10 Conference; similarly managing and advising the high profile athletes, coaches, business leaders, and entertainment celebrities affiliated with the brand.

He remains actively involved in local sports serving as the Head basketball coach for Vincentian College Preparatory, an Assistant Girls basketball coach for Downers North High School. He also provides administrative athletic assistance locally – serving as the Founding State Executive Director for the National Youth Sports Coaches Association of Pennsylvania A local celebrity in his own right, Lavisse has been Inducted into the Chicago Public League Basketball Coach’s Hall of Fame and the State of Illinois Basketball Coach’s Hall of Fame.
